Wheaton College offers a 3-2 Liberal Arts/Nursing Program leading to both a B.S. from Wheaton and a B.S.N. or advanced degree from an NLN-accredited nursing school. Since 1982, this program has prepared students for the nursing profession by providing a solid Christian liberal arts foundation including the basic sciences. During the three years the student is at Wheaton, students enroll in the courses that will enable them to meet the admission requirements for nursing schools. Assistance is given the student in transferring to the nursing school affiliate of choice. The last two years or more are spent at the nursing school.
Please consult the Wheaton College On-line Catalog regarding course requirements for the Liberal Arts Nursing major.

A Second Pathway
The nature of our agreements is school-specific. The master's level program at Rush, the Generalist Entry Masters (GEM), requires that an applicant already have a bachelor's degree. some students, therefore, choose a different major than LA/N, stay at Wheaton College four years to receive their bachelor's degree. this introduces a second pathway at Wheaton College towards nursing. Assistance is also provided to students interested in pursuing BSN, ABSN, and MSN programs at NLN accredited schools after graduation from Wheaton College.

Pre-Health
Professions Club
With forty regular members, the Pre-Health Professions
Club, also known as Sigma Delta Pi, is having a positive impact
on future health professionals and present patients both here
on campus and in the greater Chicago area. Within an intense,
focused group of students, the club provides a sense of community
that represents equal measures of commiseration and encouragement. Peer Mentoring and the senior panel are good examples of the clubs purpose
among the student body. During this time older students pass
on the wisdom they have gained from experience to the younger
students, helping pave the way for another class to make it
through the challenges of a pre-med curriculum.
Beyond the walls of Wheaton College, club members are actively
engaging their mandate to Christian service along a variety
of health care related avenues, including running a blood drive for local hospitals and volunteering
in a inner city clinic in Chicago. The club is not designed
to place another burden on the backs of already overwhelmed
students. Instead our purpose is to serve as a resource for
students looking towards a career in the health professions,
and to be available to whatever extent the particular student
desires to take advantage of what the club has to offer. Sigma
Delta Pi is a vital, integrative part of the pre-health professions
community here at Wheaton.
